After qualifying at a Six Flags event in Massachusetts, Nikole and Zak Agnitti traveled from their home near Conway to compete in the Wii Games: Summer 2010 national championship in the Los Angeles area.

Nikole and Zak earned their place at the national championship by qualifying at a Six Flags event in Massachusetts. SCNow later photographed them playing Nintendo Wii at their home near Conway and reported on September 2, 2010, that the brother-and-sister team would be in Los Angeles that weekend for the national tournament.
What Makes It Distinct
Nintendo’s national event announcement places the championship at Redondo Beach Pier from September 3 through 5. The first nationwide Wii tournament brought together as many as 90 winning teams from qualifying events plus six sweepstakes teams, with competition categories spanning different ages.

The family also remembers a separate, painful setback at Six Flags in New Jersey: all of the kids’ games were stolen from the vehicle. That loss is part of the real journey, making the later national-tournament experience a story of resilience as well as competition.
